THE YOUNG ARTISTE AWARD
The Young Artiste Award was introduced in 1992 to encourage the development of talents in Singapore. The Award is accorded to young artists aged 35 years and below who have demonstrated promise of artistic excellence in the fields of dance, theatre, literature, music, photography, art and as 1997, film. This Award will serve to encourage and support young artists who are at a crucial stage of their artistic development. Recipients of the Award will each be given a grant of $10,000 by the National Arts Council to undertake arts projects or studies, and a trophy.
